My Background...
In 1999, I graduated with my BA in Theology and a minor in Youth Ministry from LIFE Pacific College in San Dimas, CA.
I’ve been Involved in various forms of ministry since 1995: missions, street evangelism in Hollywood, abstinence presenter, ministry to children, youth, and women. I've also had the opportunity to do various speaking engagements in churches, camps, schools, and retreats.
In 2016, I made a decision to pursue the ministry of counseling and received my MA in Clinical Pastoral Counseling through Colorado theological Seminary, with advanced certification in Crisis and Abuse Therapy. I am licensed through, and practice under the code of ethics of the National Christian Counselors Association (NCCA). To read the NCCA Code of Ethics click HERE. I am commissioned by, and under the covering of my church as a Pastoral Counselor (I am not a state licensed mental health therapist).
I’m certified as a Genesis Process relapse prevention coach (40 hours), domestic abuse advocate (135+ hours), and Level 1 & 2 Certified Christian Trauma Care Provider (14 hours). I value personal and professional growth and am committed to ongoing education, training, and skill-building.
The name of my counseling practice came about out of my own personal journey from brokenness to restoration. I am A SOUL MADE WELL!
Although I counsel for a wide variety of things, my passion and area of specialty is in helping women heal from past or current abusive, controlling, or emotionally destructive relationships, as well as those facing singleness, betrayal trauma, abandonment, and divorce.
My Goal...
Is to generously and wholeheartedly meet people in their places of need, challenge, or brokenness. Then, in the capacity which I’m able to do so, offer my support and guidance as they choose to take steps toward healing and wholeness.
My Approach...
Is to provide counseling that's Christ-centered, compassionate, goal-oriented, conversational, values-focused, collaborative, and supportive yet challenging.
My Loves...
The Word of God, being a mom to my three precious girls whom I have homeschooled since 2009 (two have graduated), walking, running, paddle boarding, hiking, visiting the beach, Thai food, kombucha, holey jeans, being out in nature, spending time with friends, red tea latte's, the Constitution, naps, connecting with people in deep & meaningful ways, public speaking, reading, ongoing education, worship, being a goofball, and laughter.
